Dhananjay Sharma is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Data Science at Stony Brook University. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computing from IIT Dhanbad, India. With interests in machine learning engineering, software development for scalable products, and building agents to ease manual tasks, Dhananjay is passionate about exploring cross-domain applications of his knowledge. He aims to leverage technology to address real-world challenges. He brings four years of software engineering experience, informing practical, scalable solutions. In leisure time, he enjoys the gym, cricket, and trekking. Currently, he contributes to the Shrestha Lab, developing the DeepLabCut pipeline for NOR behavioral analysis, maintaining the behavior pipeline, and analyzing SAA fiber photometry data. Under Professor Shrestha’s guidance, he blends deep learning, computer vision, tracking, and statistical modeling to advance research.
