Moniza is an undergraduate research assistant in the Shrestha laboratory, currently pursuing a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Writing & Rhetoric. Moniza's current project investigates how Tsc2 function alters mTORC1-mediated synaptic protein synthesis in the medial prefrontal cortex, and how these molecular changes relate to anxiety-like behaviors and impaired memory consolidation in mice. Outside of the lab, Moniza loves to watch movies, immerse herself in school clubs, read South Asian poetry, and formulate her perfect coffee order across local cafes.
