Sandra is a Fulbright Scholar pursuing her master’s degree in Neuroscience at Stony Brook University. Her research explores the neural mechanisms underlying fear extinction and re-emergence, focusing on how oxytocin circuitry shapes fear modulation. Sandra is passionate about understanding the neurobiology of psychiatric illness and is interested in exploring how science, psychology, and the arts can come together to give a fuller picture of the human mind. Outside the lab, she enjoys playing the piano, singing, and learning new languages.
